1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SeaBid, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Platform Description

SeaBid is an online auction platform connecting seafood suppliers from Iceland and the Faroe Islands with buyers. The platform is powered by Basta and facilitates real-time bidding on seafood lots.

3. User Accounts

You must register for an account to place bids or list lots. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Bidding & Auctions

All bids are binding. When you place a bid, you agree to purchase the lot at that price if you are the winning bidder. SeaBid reserves the right to cancel or void bids or auctions at its discretion in cases of error, fraud, or other irregularities.

5. Supplier Obligations

Suppliers must provide accurate descriptions of lots including species, weight, grade, origin, and certifications. Lots must meet the specifications listed at auction. Suppliers are responsible for compliance with all applicable food safety regulations.

6. Payment & Settlement

Payment terms are established between buyer and supplier upon auction completion. SeaBid facilitates the auction process but is not a party to the purchase transaction.

7. Limitation of Liability

SeaBid provides the platform on an “as is” basis. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of lots listed, the accuracy of listings, or the ability of buyers or suppliers to complete transactions.

8. Modifications

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of SeaBid after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
